Day 1
Arrival in Marrakech
The first day of your 8 days Morocco desert adventure is all about a smooth arrival. Your private driver meets you at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) with a personalised sign and takes you through the city gates to your boutique riad in the heart of the medina.
After settling in, wander the hidden corners of the souks or relax on a rooftop overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque. As evening falls, Jemaa el-Fnaa comes alive with storytellers, musicians and food stalls: a vibrant introduction to the Red City.

Day 2
Marrakech to Zagora, via Aït Ben Haddou and the Draa Valley
We climb the High Atlas on the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 metres. Our first major stop is Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a stunning example of earthen architecture. Then we continue over the Anti-Atlas and down into the lush Draa Valley and its palm groves.
We reach Zagora by late afternoon, a town famous for its “52 days to Timbuktu” sign and the historic gateway to the deep Sahara, for a traditional dinner at your hotel.

Day 3
Zagora to Ramlia, off-road via Tafraoute Sidi Ali
Today is a true adventure into the wilderness. We leave the paved roads behind for the old Paris-Dakar rally tracks, crossing the rugged landscapes of Tafraoute Sidi Ali, with vast stretches of reg (stony desert) and small nomadic settlements that few travelers ever see.
Our destination is the remote Ramlia oasis, the village we call home, near the Algerian border. Walk through the palm groves and learn about the traditional khettara irrigation system, then spend the night in a traditional guesthouse, a real connection with Saharan culture.

Day 4
Ramlia to Merzouga, via the dunes of Ouzina
The off-road journey continues through the dunes of Ouzina and across dry riverbeds towards Merzouga, as the massive golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise on the horizon.
In the late afternoon you mount your camel for a trek into the heart of the dunes near Merzouga, reaching your luxury camp in time for a spectacular Saharan sunset. The evening brings dinner and traditional Berber music around a crackling campfire under a blanket of stars.

Day 5
Merzouga to the Dades Valley, via Rissani and the Todra Gorge
Wake early for a Saharan sunrise, then visit the authentic market of Rissani, cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, before heading to the Todra Gorge, where limestone cliffs rise 300 metres high and you can walk along the riverbed.
We continue to the Dades Valley, with its famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and the winding road above the valley floor, and spend the night in a charming riad among the cliffs, in the cool mountain air.

Day 6
Dades Valley to Marrakech, via Ouarzazate
After breakfast we head to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa”, where we can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or a film studio before the final crossing of the High Atlas.
We reach Marrakech by early evening. After days in the silence of the desert and mountains, the energy of the city is a thrilling contrast, and your riad is ready for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7
Marrakech private guided tour
Today is dedicated to the Red City. Your local guide meets you for a private tour of the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque, weaving through the alleys of the medina to artisan workshops and hidden caravanserais.
In the afternoon, visit the Majorelle Garden or enjoy the souks at your own pace, now with a deeper understanding of the city’s history and culture.

Day 8
Departure from Marrakech
On the final day of your 8 days Morocco desert adventure, enjoy a last Moroccan breakfast at your riad and, depending on your flight, some souvenir shopping for spices, carpets or leather goods.
Your private driver then takes you to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK), with plenty of time for your departure.
